Canes come in a variety of models, all of which help improve balance and reduce fatigue. Standard crook canes are lightweight and durable, while adjustable height canes offer another degree of customization. Travel canes can conveniently fold up and be carried in a travel case. When additional stability is needed, quad canes have a base with four legs, thus affording greater stability than straight canes. Depending on the client’s needs and preferences, these can be ordered with narrow or wide bases.

For those with slight mobility challenges, crutches provide several levels of support. Standard adjustable crutches are lightweight and easily adjust to size, while forearm crutches have contoured arm cuffs for extra comfort and stability.

A knee scooter is a four-wheeled mobility device that is designed to support the shin or an unusable limb, with the opposite foot being used for propulsion with handlebars designed for maneuverability.

Often referred to as “wheeled walkers” which consist of a frame, wheels, handlebars, and a built in in seat. The built-in seat is designed to make rest periods convenient.

When balance becomes more of an issue, we have a variety of walker styles to meet individual needs. Folding, adjustable walkers can be easily transported in vehicles. Hemi-walkers allow for one-hand utilization, and wheeled walkers minimize lifting. Many accessories, such as walker trays, baskets or pouches are available to customize devices to a customer’s preferences.

Some wheelchair users still prefer or require a standard wheelchair, which is characterized by a cross-brace frame, built-in or removable arm rests, swing-away footrests, a mid- to high-level back and push handles to allow non-occupants to propel the chair.
